Halton board of education She toppled Acton council and board veteran Bert Hinton in a see saw battle She squeaked in by votes in the close fight with Fisher polling 1638 Hinton 1608 and Esquesing resident Sheldon Both Mrs Fisher and Mrs Sheldon were making their first bid for this seat Ed Wood took the one regional seat for Ward One held previously by G W Pat McKenzie who in turn ran unsuccessfully for an area seat Ed Wood is a council newcomer and polled votes Second place went to former Acton councillor Roy Goodwin with votes and third to former Acton councillor Bill Coats with
