supporters By ISABEL MCDONALD The Golden Age Cub held its bake sale at Dawes Real Estate Friday A beautifully decorated cake was made and donated by Mrs Keith Liver more and the Golden Age quilt made in commemoration of the bicentennial year was drawn The lucky tickets were drawn by Mrs Kelly and the winners were for the quilt Evelyn of Baden Ontario with ticket and for the cake Laura Dennis of Acton There was also a craft corner and all projects realized a tidy sum for the Golden Age Club treasury Knox Alert group lauds B Knox Alert Evening Group met In the Mary Ellen Anderson Room for their Sep t ember meeting recently Lil McLennan opened the meeting with the call to worship then a minutes silence was held for Bessie followed with prayer given by Hymn Blest be the tie that binds Verses and was sung and Lil gave a reading from the May Presbyterian Record Gladys Davidson sang a solo Amailng Grace and three poems were read by The offering was received and LU gave the Offertory Prayer The Treasurers report was given and accepted The Roll call was answered with something for the Ball The meeting was closed with all repealing the Mizpah Benediction and a lovely lunch was enjoyed by all St Josephs CWL plans gala supper By MCGERAGLE The ladles of St Josephs met after their summer break for the September meeting The convener reports were presented We now have members and
