THE Wants Walking Trail Through Town Too Drive bear Sir I read with Interest that the route of the old radial rail way is to be opened op as a walking trail between Acton and Many Herald rea ders are probably unaware that the radial or CN electric to run from Guelph to Acton Georgetown dowvale and Into Toronto Street There Is a lot of delightful wooded country between Geor getown and and Acton most of the old radial line Is now a hydro right of way and It would seem logical to try and make a walking trail out of it in the Georgetown area before It is closed off for good A few years ago the hydro right of way in the sub division was closed off when householders whose lots border the right of way extended their back yards back to the line of the hydro poles I can see that It might be very difficult to re claim this part of the hydro right of way as a walking trail but I see no reason to hesitate in establishing the rest of the route as a walking trail as soon as possible as far as the Ge orgetown section is concerned 1 would think that this comes under the Jurisdic tion of the Credit Valley Con servation Authority I think this would be a good time for our local representat ive to the to bring the matter up and see if parts of the route can be opened op for walkers this year Yours truly Gordon J Hunt THE GEORGETOWN THURSDAY MAT One of the best options you get Notice to
