WO Brian Seder Cadet Of The Year Precision March Arms Drill Highlights At Air Cadets Annual Inspection Interested of George town bad the result of many months of effort and team work of the boys and men of Georgetown Legion Squadron Royal Canadian Air Cadets revealed to them May 31 when the Squadron held its third an nual inspection at the high school The reviewing officer was Ma jor a MacLean CD CPB Borden assisted by CapL CFB Borden tho air cadet league representative was Mr Mont ALL IMPORTANT The annual inspection la the all Important event of the cadet year It the time their train ing Is pot to a test Tbey a year of general airmanship radio meteorology Senior cadets have taken navig ation service information early Canadian aviation engines and model building Canadian drill and deportment Each year at this time cad ets instructors and sponsors have attack of butterflies This year there was no need from the general salute until the final march off the boys were on top of the situation TRAINED SQUAD The highlight of the evening came when the drill squad gave a display of precision march ing and arms drill This part of the program was mainly due to a young man who has voy Baker and Bacon Second year perfect attendan ce pins went to Camp bell Smith CpTs Smith Servos Henderson Peters Meal and WO Grace Fourth year LAC Bums flying scholarship to Sgt Hender son senior leaders course Grace bush survival course FSgt Peters 1 Brian Seder who has reached the age limit for Air Cadets 10 years of ago was presented with a token of their esteem from the cadets ers Instructors and sponsors Capt Rod MacDonald who made the presentation praised Brian for his all out effort during his time with the Cadets SUMMER CAMP Although this annual inspect ion marks the end of their year many of the cadets will spend two weeks at summer camps where tbey will have the oppor tunity to experience the freed om of gliding Along with their regular Mon day night parades the air for the Uni ted Church ladies who spent a full day of quilting At noon a delicious pot tack dinner n enjoyed end a social visit at the noon hour was very relaxing Plans are underway for the annual EUa reunion which win be held at the Hornby Park Sunday June 20 when picnic dinner will be held at 1 pm Entertainment will take place following dinner The North Trafalgar euchre party on Saturday night
