HONOUR FATHER V J MORGAN A Wonderful Day for Retiring Rector It was a beautiful day on tor the former rector of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church In Georgetown when a pariah reception honoured Father Victor Joseph Morgan He has been rector of St Josephs parish Acton for the post three Perfect blue and gold weatner matched the sunny atmosphere lo Acton Music Centre for the August reception for Father Morgan who retired at the end of last month after SO years In the priesthood ft number of Georgetown friends were among those who came from all over to pay tribute to the well known priest who was born In Collingwood of Irish parents MO VISITOR More than 500 visitors signed the guest book before Joining the reception line a continuous flow for three happy hours Collingwood sent a bus load of well wishers to the reception for its native son Other out of towners came from Hamilton Norwich Cargill Elmirn Kitchener Niagara Falls New York Bay Ridge Burlington Durham Waterloo Preston Milton Fergus chouse Scarborough Win and Miami Fla and Morton where Father Morgan began his ministry were well represented by former parishioners of every faith and from all walks of life were part of the ecumenical gathering Rev Harry Dawson rector of St Anglican Church brought a gift from the local Clergy Association twin night tables for Father Morgan new home on Church St not far from the rectory I Morgan was pastor Holy Cross Church here which was combined with St Joseph Acton The parish was divided that year with Father Morgan retaining the Acton parish and the Capuchin Order put In charge In
