Georgetown High School Commencement Largest Graduating Class In Schools History Sixteen Ontario In the I clan of Georgetown school reflected on the school and principal Mike Furlong told those attending Georgetown high school com- Friday night Ninetyeight graduating students made this the largest graduating class In the schools history In addition five students were accepted at universities on the early admission basis In addition to the SB receiving honour graduation diplomas Grade another record was set when were awarded the secondary school diplomas Grade 13 Valedictorian Llewellyn said he felt the school had come a long way since be started his high school days He said there had been a much more authoritarian type of administration and very little student responsibility He recalled Roger Smith some four years as valedictorian asking for more student responsibility He felt the students had achieved this goal and in doing so had found a rapport with teachers impossible former Georgetown Figure Skating Club professional Ross Garner is teaching power skating to the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League Power skating teaches the players to get the most out of each stride taken Ross Gamer who operates the Ross Garner Summer Hockey School in was asked by Detroit to take several of their players In hand during the training camp Eleven of the 14 players he was entrusted with made the parent club for the start of the hockey season I have run a power skating course in Port Huron Michigan for a number of years and they Red Wings apparently saw what I was doing This year before training camp they came to me and asked me to handle some of their players said Gamer ADDED DRILLS The first day I was given players to work with Eleven of which I might add made the
