Challenge to UW Club The members of the Georgetown Chapter of the Canadian of University Women were challenged at their last meeting to become volunteers to help elementary school children who might be having problems This challenge was presented by with the Psychological Services evening Miss Kirk was introduced by Mrs Elaine Wosserman who has already had some experience as a volunteer worker ASSET Miss Kirk provided description of the psychological services of the County Board and explained how members of the University Women s Club could help in the schools children Mho benefit from the volunteer worker efforts might possibly have minor social psychological or educational problems The child who does not feel that he is a part of his family may be helped by this service or perhaps the child who Is not given enough attention but who has average ability could benefit from the volunteer worker efforts THE VOLUNTEERS ROLE The volunteer worker would act lafnend could provide an example of proper behaviour The procedure for becoming a volunteer would entail making an application having on interview with the County Service members meeting with the principal and the teacher and upon
