la wanted in Georgetown A group of volunteer workers who staged a clothing drive during the summer and who have given away used clothing on two occasions looking for space that is central to Hal ton Hills to give away even more clothing A spokesman for the volunteer group said con alder able good used clothing remains in groups possession What is sought Is a locale where a depot can be maintained on a regular basis until next spring The group two past distribution days were sue the spokesman said and clothing collected in Georgetown has been distributed over a wide area More than GO local families already have been served For the first distribution tickets were distributed through such agencies as the health unit welfare children aid and the like Ticket holders were able to select clothing to meet their needs A second distribution day saw another families served Some of the remaining clothing already has been given lo the Vanier Institute Catholic Women League and Ontario Welcome for distribution as needed A prodigious amount of clothing was collected Sup plies almost tilled a Tllden van in two station wagons and pickup truck Only one small bag of dolling has had to be discarded as unsuitable for re use the group spokesman said We d like to set up a depot where by appointment we can give this clothing away said the spokesman But need a place The group has approached the municipal council but said it was told there was no need for the service We think there is a need and we want to make people aware that this clothing is available The Herald was told The group has been ap proached by the Red Cross aid Anyone who knows of space that may be donated to the group Clothing Aid can con tact The Herald office The volunteers of the group issued a special note of thanks
