Ten persons died In Ontario Provincial Police advises residents utilizing this kind of equipment to have it Installed and serviced regularly by a licensed propane fitter familiar with these units Propane equipment with a blocked flue passage or with a burner improperly adjusted or partially plugged can produce deadly carbon monoxide fumes Tourists campers ice fisherman hunters and others with portable propane cooking and heating units should ensure adequate ventilation while using them Only a short length of time Is required to produce a fatal quantity of carbon monoxide In a closed tent advent of the new year comes an end to the holiday season and for the students of GpHS there begins a period of preparing for mid term examinations The January exams of recent years have been held on special days segregated from routine school activities This year however the exams will be held for part of a day and regular classes run for the remainder of the day The change In schedule is due to the Board of Education new view of the school year Ac cording to the rules schools not operating on a system such as GDHS must either hold exams along with regular classes or the school year must be extended for a number of days In June to compensate for the time lost in giving the exams Not wishing to do the latter the administration has chosen the former alternative Next year system will very likely be different again from those systems of the past Beginning In September GDHS will be on a schedule The entire school system will be altered and staff and students alike will be starting afresh
