month hod a most en joynble time Cards and darts were played and a most delicious meal was enjoyed The evening was spent dancing and socializing with host members and their wives Mount Dennis out did them selves in the hospitality department so It looks like we will be keeping these trips up regular basis after a lapse of several years This trip was for Members and Auxiliary members The Legion Elimination Draw was held last Friday evening and was a great success A beautiful supper was prepared and served by the Ladies Auxiliary They can always be counted on to please the hungry horde of men that attend and as In the past they didn I disappoint anyone The fellows id TV entertainer Billy Meek was exceptional so I told and he is always a crowd Four men split the jackpot but one name escapes together at the Holy Cross Auditorium last Tuesday to experience a night of brotherhood and friendship Members of such organizations as the Masonic Lodge Peel Shrine Club Oddfellows and the Knights of Columbus welcomed guest speaker Tom Keating the State Secretary of Jurisdiction of Knights of Columbus of Ontario Upon requests made by the other organization Mr Keating explained the pur pose alms and the functions of the Knights of Columbus Mr Keating pointed out a few common aspects which all the fraternal organizations share We are united In one of the most important areas unity of person Without this there would be no Importance to life or no significance In existing Our great fraternal orders are serving special interests In the general public Volunteer work can accomplish just as
