that eight Canadian magazines will hit the newstands as soon as the Time legislation la As for the fears of some that Time and Readers Digest will not be available In Canada once they lose their special status Senator com mented They will still be there However theyll be coming into Canada on exactly the proper basis they should be on the same way as Playboy Esquire The New Yorker or any other American magazine Is on He noted that there are approximately American magailnei flooding Into Canada Senator Davey also pointed out that more Issues of Playboy are add in Canada each month than Canadian newspaper business of which be was highly critical In his report Senator complained that the printed media In this country provides constant checks on all aspects of society except on itself
