Monday lhat Georgetown had been accepted Into the OHA Junior fold The Georgetown entry will be competing In Group along with teams from Burlington Oakvllle Milton Streetsviile and Dixie The members of this league are due to meet sometime in the near future to set up the leagues schedule and the format for playoffs According to the the only stipulation that they will make that a group winner be decided on by March It In order to advance Into playdowns The Georgetown Junior Bs coach Paul Robinson expects the league to be very competitive with a high calibre of hockey on display for the hockey buffi entertainment In backing up point Robinson noted that advanced all the way to the All- Ontario Jr B finals last year and would probably provide the leagues ap peal Hon Although no players have been inked as yet Robinson indicated that the club has been In touch several but contended that it was too early as yet to expect definite commitments The Georgetown Junior will open training camp August and it Is expected that about hopefuls will attend All the players who attend camp will be there by Invitation only and the battles for places on the club are expected to provide great spectator interest Robinson feels that even though his club is a first year entry It can and will be competitive There will be no break once the training camp gets under way and exhibition games are already being lined up which will lead the team directly Into the regular schedule In order to get the team Into fighting trim the exhibition schedule Is being worked Into bringing higher bracketed teams to town and one team that is expected to do preaeason battlelstbeTorontoMarllea As yet there has been no official word from team management regarding proseason competitors but a game against a Junior A team has been set up for Sunday September A solid foundation for Georgetowns newest hockey endeavour la currently being laid by the team executive and its obvious from the plans currently In their Tykes bump Burlington The Georgetown Tykes of the HCBA moved into third spot in the league standings behind Burlington and Brampton as a result of three winning perf in their last four
