This Is not to say that I stay in and do nothing but read all winter Quite out and snow shoe or ice fish as well as the many other activities that arc available to the outdoors person during the cold months I am always ready to comment favourably on the fine books put out by DBI BOOKS INC and the two latest are no exception GUNS ILLUSTRATED is a very complete book within its terms of reference Each article is complete and not left hanging as with some other books I have read but this one leaves nothing There is even a chapter on the collecting of BELT BUCKLES and this is getting more prevalent each year and I am a proponent of the hobby One item that Interests me is the one on a new style of taxidermy It involves the FREEZE DRYING of the specimen and is well worth reading The other book by DBI Inc is the second edition or BACKPACKERS DIGEST What can I say but once again a very complete book If you wish to take up backpacking thenoll the Information you need is within its pages From equipment to dress to emergency procecdurcs it Is all within the pages of BACKPACKERS DIGEST I have mentioned the Terra Cotta Conservation Area program put on by Ihe Credit Valley
