Being more connect with another sport that being fastball and a regular user of the Georgetown Pork I ennnot help but wonder to the actions of the Minor Soeccr Group now wanting to conquer vide the section of the Fair properly grounds Pork used by the Georgetown Baseball If the ability to recall the fuss furor look to get this diamond Into condition have suitable screening Ins la I led tn make it fit for use by baseball people you would not entertain the si ghost thought of converting Diamond A Into one soccer pitch let alone two To me It seems greedy that can find a piece of Town owned green grass that they can start lobbying program In an effort lo obtain such property lor their use regardless of the loss to other sports In the Town Perhaps should servo lo all those In Town with green lawns beware soccer may expropriate your lawn for Hi el next pitch Do soccer people realize Just how people and at Ions use the grassed area They nip la in enough to want hove current fnUlilies lo prevent people using part of their facility Could you imagine the reaction tiny would create after the Fall Filr horse shows High land Games and the like that all use this green area on various occasions The playing fields arc now situated In a fairly close proximity to each other that at times one game interferes with the other and with the soccer proposal the playing fields of fastball and soecer would sit even closer I find It hard to believe that soccer players would like to have soft balls rolling in the midst of their I urge you Glen not to allow Diamond A to be removed from the Fairgrounds Park In which I feel would be a more serious loss to the ball community than soccer people realize To you with the sports of Ilalton Hills In mind I remain Bryan Lewis Pros Georgetown
