village did little to resolve confusion among the residents who attended The main accomplishment or the evening was to decide which questions had to be answered about Ihe water Installation to seven streets In lower Glen Williams before the residents on those streets could make a fully informed decision on whether or not they wanted the water Among the concerns were the cost the availability of provincial grants lo defray the cost lo residents and whether or not residents whose properly lay along the proposed route for the main will be forced to hook up A second decision at the meeting was to hove council direct planner Mario to appear at a public meeting in Glen Williams lo discuss off plan and explain its conclusions espe cially as far as population growth figures arc concerned The residents also agreed that steering committee of Steve Hancock John Haines Dave Keith Per kins and John Minns should continue with the work they had begun The decision to hook up seven Glen Williams streets to lown wjter was made by the region after residents com plained that the quantity of water in the wells had been seriously depleted as a result of the pumping off surface water by a developer
