to develop a apart building and single family houses on Hall Road In Georgetown Council upheld a planning board recommendation lost Tuesday night which will allow O and Construction Ltd to proceed with development plans for Its site In Georgetown a east end sub ject to several conditions being The approval was strongly opposed by two llall Road area residents who outlined cone on behalf of more than 100 neighbor COUNCIL John Winter reminded ell he had collected about signatures on a petition which helped convince of the development firm to with draw plans for the apartment building A revised proposal involved single family A further revision which saw the apartment building was prompted by her petition containing more than 150 signatures of who formed what Mr Winter called an hysterical group vironmental concerns raised Mr ire Doug introduced himself as spokesman for the hysterical group to which Mr Winter referred better known as the Save the Hall Road Ravine Committee Mr In the year and a half since the committee was formed to mon and ruction project the numerous cone cms raised by various ing agencies been left unresolved while the project has grown in scale The spokesman prices Otherwise Mr Venditti all other concerns raised over the project can be with the granting of approval The impact of additional traffic or Hall Road and at the nearby levared Highway Intersect ion will be assessed in a routine study he said Mr added that the Credit Valley Conservation Authority has approval rights on the site drainage design a fact which will guard the site against future
