GO Train here In Georgetown hops the train llien gets off runs a few more miles to work He repeats this on the way home every day I go about 11 miles each day and when Im training for a marathon I increase it to about 20 miles This Sunday he will be entering the Spring Bonk Road Race in London It is probably the best race in Canada All the good runners will be there Ian Clark should be there and If he is he should win it Clark a Georgetown high school and Canadian running champion says he and a half doien other runners from Georgetown will be entering Georgetown ran into the winning circle again on Sunday when local councillor Marilyn Serjconlson the women division of the 10 metre Enn Mill run SPORTS SHORTS With Ihe hockey season now under way many of the local young players will be avidly watching the TV this winter looking for local players DAVE BURROWS In the Toronto Maple lineup and MIKE FORBES and DICK In Edmonton Oilers uniforms This time next week we should have a better idea whether they will indeed be playing MAYOR PETE and some councillors will be swimming this Saturday at the Georgetown Pool to help raise money for equipment as part of a swim a Raiders tie in opener After four weeks of train camp the Georgetown Raiders Intermediate A hockey team played their first exhibition of the season Friday night in Stratford The Haiders last years Intermediate league plons had trouble icing a full and were hard pressed to hold on to a tie with the Stratford Senior A team Coach Steve a Raider player last year said the S5 draw gave him an opportunity to look
