C F is the major national service project of the Kinsmen and was first undertaken by Kinsmen in 1904 with a tag day Since Kinsmen and Kin have raised in excess of million for cystic fibrosis research The has an added twist to it this year with the comeback of George own High School to challenge Acton High School students for the Life Trophy This is the first time since 1976 when the club first rai this project that Georgetown high has been able to The students Job in both schools is to get sponsors throughout the community for the 10hour da nee- On the day of the BumpFor Life the students will meet at their respective schools and dance for 10 hours with five minute breaks every hour and a mlnule lunch and supper At the end of the it will be up to the students to collect the monies pledged Once all money has been collected each school will be given a percentage of the funds to support school activities This year both schools are looking for ways to raise money to purchase new band sweaters Georgetown high is Also raising money for a sound system to play records and tapes at school functions PLEDGES This project is sponsored by the Georgetown Kinsmen and they will be out In force along with their wives and members of the Kinsmen assisting students during the hours of the At any given time during the there will be five to 10 Kinsmen In each school help ing serve pop and food to the more than students expect to participate The first week of May is the climax of the Kinsmen fund raising drive for CF and It Is hoped that this year project will be the most successful in the past five years The Kinsmen would like to thank the citizens of both Acton and Georgetown for all their past efforts In assisting the club to raise money for this childhood disease and other
