Detective made two separate visits HOMEGROWN ENTERTAINERS OF THE YEAR With the Choral Society hot on their heels the casts and crews of the Georgetown Little Theatre offered four splendid plays In Including the first performance on the new stage at the arts complex Count Dracula and Bedroom Force demonstrated the GLT versatility and revealed a formidable new publicity machine In the form of Marg and Gerry our thanks to them Not Now Darling and Once Upon a Time were special treats that gave rising young stars a chance in the Runners up As we said the Choral Society never falters In Its professionalism overall excellence The recent Messiah was a knockout that will be bard to follow Broadway Tonight last spring a pop delight The Cantante Singers excellent Love Is concert showed enormous potential as did the same groups recent appearance on CHCH a New Faces program And a sincere keep up the great work to students of GDHS and Stewarttown school who respectively astonished audiences with My Fair Lady and Bye Bye Birdie ALSO IN THE SPOTLIGHT though not performing were some residents whose accomplishments and community work earned them due recognition Our congratulations to Citiiensof the Year Georgetown Hockey Heritage ball of Bud James Georgetown Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year the Dominion Seed House The Herald a Pioneer Citizen of the Year Barbara
