at the 1983 fair as fair board direct ors conduct their spring drive to extend their boun daries beyond the usual agricultural exhibits Georgetown Agricultur al Society president Joyce Gosling explains that one of the reasons for extend ing Ihe annual fair to a threeday event la to make the lair a better show case for exhibitors She hopes that more commer cial and Industrial busi nesses each year by Mnnullfe Insurance Company for his work as an adoption volunteer for the Childrens Aid Society Every year Mnnullfe shows Its appreciation tor its employee who are concerned with enhancing their community by their volunteer work by presenting these awards Mr McLean and his wife Janet have been working as a volunteer couple in the adoption department of the Childrens Aid Society for the past three and a hall years During 1981 they spent over man hours in their volunteer work completing eight on potential adoptive couples and placing seven children Far his effort Mnnullfe has presented Mr McLean with a check for payable to the Ha I Ion Childrens Aid Society and a plaque recognizing his Mr McLean presented the check to John Graham president of the of directors of the Halton CAS in a short ceremony during the s May meeting When asked why he and his wife spend so much lime and effort In their volunteer work Mr McLean replied it was their way of giving io me tiling back to community and particularly o the Adoption Department of the Childrens Aid Society They are adoptive parents themselves and enjoy to help other couples contemplat ing adoption They also enjoy being
