jected a Hydropreferred transmission line through the area because It appears the utility will begin to expand Its existing trans mission corridors through Milton to compensate for the lost routing Mayor Gordon Kranli asked utility represen tatives at a meeting last week whether Hydro will object to the boards decis ion disallowing the route from the Bruce generating station through the area visiting KlUaloo While pass ing through Kinmount they paid a short visit with Phil and Ernie McKim who were former residents here They wish lo be remembered to all their friends In Ballinafad Susan Am and Karen OConnor have recently returned home after spen ding two weeks in Florida While there they Disney World Some of our residents paid a visit to he neighbo ring village of Saturday help an este emed couple celebrate their wedding anniv ersary John Root former MPP for Counties and his wife Llllle were the guests of honor This happy occa sion was held in the Hills- burgh Baptist Church The previous Saturday another well known couple In the Erin and surround ing country Don and Jean Matheson celebrated their wedding July a lovely wedding was held In nafad the bride being the daughter of a long establi shed family Bud and Snow Unfortunately the weather was not the best as the wedding had been planned for outdoors However between show ers the- ceremony did lake place little Bridge that crosses the small creek in front of the Snow Rev Tom Bandy was the officiating clergy man as Myrna Snow and Bruce Cooks ley pledged their vows The young bride and her attendant made a pretty picture as the sun did manage to shine for a very brief period Rest of the festivit ies took place in the home Residents experienced some sadness recently when they learned of the death of two former resid ents Albert Dance was a wellknown man as he lived in Iho community since coming from Eng land as a young fellow On his retirement he mads his home in Acton He was in his 80th year Fred Macks death cured in a Hospit al He and bis family resided here for a short while He was the son of a wellknown senior Tom Mack who passed away a few years ago We wish a speedy recov ery for Mrs Morgan who is a
