under one roof in Acton Ward commiss ioner Murt Allison has announced his candidacy for reelection Appointed by council to the Hills Hydro electric Commission in the rep resentative said Monday his 30 years residency in town and equally lengthy experience as a busi nessman enables him to make decisions ALLISON Negotiations for the purchase of local Ontario Hydro assets were the most important and most difficult part of the amal gamation process that has brought hydro ser vices in Acton George town and to gether Mr Allison said The commission hand led the amalgamation he said so that not only rural users benefit but so do all Halton Hills users in terms of the security and reliability of future ser vice Consolidation of the three services under one roof is the key to improv ed customer George town Agricultural Society I would like to thank your newspaper for your supp ort of our 1962 fair Att empting to change the fair we knew would not be easy so any additional help and support received was greatly appreciated For a change the weather was splendid and the crowds on all three days excellent We know there was some difficulty at the gates with people wishing free admission to the fair for many differ ent reasons and hope there are not too many hard feelings Every year endless numbers of people feel that they should be admitted free or at a reduced rate and while we would like to be agree able we could never pay our bills if this was allow ed and it certainly is not fair to those who pay The fair board would like find a new way to finance the fair bo we could allow EVERYONE in for free and make things a lot easier for all con cerned but until an alter native is found there will and all others who assisted in some way Their contribution was the boost we needed We thank our thousands of patrons and hope that you enjoyed toe 1982 fair the fine weather the new features and great food The cheerful support of the majority of the McFarlane running have to continue
