vote for He said he was going to vote against nuclear disarmament because if Canada was to disarm some other crazy country will take advantage of us We be so big and harm less they would bomb us because we fight back and they know It because Canada so hon est with other countries So then automatically I thought what the school had said was right I nappe back at him Don t vote against It because our teacher said If our parents vote against It we have nuclear war and be killed in five My dad got very mad at what the school was my sister do her teacher said You have to make a poster schools education system By LISA Student Parents Program Night was held at Acton High School Sept 30 and was very successful Parents of students from all grades attended the event The first Item on the agenda was a half hour intro ductory session During this meeting Mrs Moore made a welcoming address and discussed some of the changes that have taken place in the school for example chimes instead of bells the Scholars Wall In the Bear Pit area and examinations in all subject areas Suzi introduced the parents to Special Education by singing Special Ed la Jan Penick was intro duced as the new head of Communications Susan Bums the head Services talked about the various career units that arc offered to students during their denuc career as well as the many other services that her department has to offer Ken Ellis talked about the resource centre what it has to offer and the need for parent volunteers Hob Warrington pre sident Athletic Asso ciation talked about the numerous sports activities and events that arc avail able to students at the Finally McLaren the vice- princip al of the school talked student behavior expectations and dismissed the parents so they could attend
