school title Georgetown was first in both the overall girls and overall boys categories and took four firsts and two second places of tbe six team divisions Two Rebel learns the senior girts and midget boys had perfect scores of ten points where runn ers from one team finish in places of first second third and fourth There were also three dual winners from Georgetown Susan Knstensen plac ed first in the senior girls race Mike Wood took the medal In the midget boys race and Erik Hopkins won the junior boys race The fields of runners were very small at Hal tons and the compe tition wasnt nearly the calibre as at some meets held earlier in the season in Toronto The Rebels did prove however that they are still the best in County taking home of a possible 36 medallions awarded POURING BAIN All races were run under very windy while some were also run in the pouring rain In the midget girls race of 22 competitors Nancy Mustard led the team to victory with a solid second place finish School quashed Perdue The game went score less for the first half Jones then scored two goals in the second half to shut out Perdue The Rebels were in the semifinals and finals last Wednesday in and they went on to the Champl which were held Monday against Perdue Their first game on Wednesday was against Lord Elgin The Rebels knocked them out Michelle Richmond made one goal on a penalty corner and Jones added the other Georgetown coach Ruth thought one of the likely contenders in the finals would be MM Robinson but Robinson was checked by Assam p- The senior Rebels then trounced Georgetown made three fantastic goals in the first half of their game against Anybodys game It was anybody gome as the Georgetown High School junior girls basketball team met Trafalgar In a home game last week The score was close throughout the game but the Rebels were eventually Georgetown Kelly Gordon and Mlchele Kccss contributed and eight points respectively but the Rebels weakness proved to be foul
