hardly cooperative with rain and fog condi lions prevailing Still the two along with Instructor Joe Letts donned their gear for a dive that amounted to about 20 minutes Both had safety lines attached to them from the shore as well as having a single rope attaching themselves to one another The dive was a first for Burley in open water I was excited all week he said ft was weird being under the water especially under the Ice It s hard to explain It was cloudy with visibility being about three feet There was a lot of plant life at the bottom but we really see that well because It was really cloudy down there Burley 19 said he actually see a living creature but added he quite sure If he did encounter could see in front of my mask and I hit it Uteri asked Joe Letts Is I hit him and he said no he said While Letta and Burley were beneath the but face on their dive Anck er and friend Gwyneth were the reserve divers at the surface Should anything have gone wrong the two could have intervened at a moment notice After Burley and Letts had gone to the surface the two reserve dlvera took to the depths The dive was both Ancker a first In Fairy Lake as well u his first winter session It a little scary I guess but a safety line on and had a rope attached to my hand that went to Gwyneth hand so if there had been any problems we could have gotten out However It is a little restricting he said Like Burley Ancker said the bottom was sandy and generally But Ancker said now that Burley has his flcation sent In Ihe mail for processing the two are anxiously waiting for their trip The first day we can take It Is May I and that Is when we are going there Ancker said Wo can hardly wait From what I ve heard the diving Is quite good There are a lot of wrecks and some of them you can see from the shore and go right from where you saw It straight to the wreck The divers walked out from the shore which was free of Ice When they got to ice tlicy broke it until the water was
