after spend four years looking kneehigh at loddJera and primary school children who would come in for library con certs and programs LEAVING I hate the thought of leaving the Job here because I really enjoyed my position It has been challenging and certain rewarding but my husband really has to be located near an ocean Joy said Since April shes been flying out once a month to Dartmouth to see Mark Septem ber of that year but also very exhausting Joy re called With the new library there was space for drens programs No longer did they have to be curtailed The library became a busy place as the move and new programs were well advertised In the community The range and number of programs expanded to meet the growing demand for childrens programs Joy said WORKING PARENTS The librariansare off ering more programs geared to working par ents now like the Satur day tales for twos which invites dads and toddlers to take part In and feel more comfort able In the library set ting or the sleepy time story time when youngs ters come in pyjamas in evening with their working parents Our Job Is to introd uce children to child ren literature and what the library has in terms of resources Joy said Shes seen ere go to school and start to read on their own during her four years at the Acton and George town libraries It looks like Joy has another move and more growing to experience In the Maritime The Library th is also hoping to expand Land has been bought and municipal funding obtained Provi ncial funding Is now being sought Joy said
