I Letters to the Editor Reader disturbed by acclamations Dear Sir Lost week paper carried a line up or declared candidates for the upcoming municipal election I deeply disturbed to see the number of positions which may be filled by acclamation unless some more dotes come forward in the next couple of weeks Armstrong announcement was very good news Now we have two solid experienced men vying for Die mayor s chair and voters will have a real choice Hut what about thi oilier scats Only Acton voters have a choice for their regional representative at this time None of the school trustees or commissioners have opponents I not saying there is a flow in any of the existing candidates Prob ably thty are fine and worthy guard inns of public interest My point Is that they should be made to defend their right to these roles Voters should have a choice Thai what democracy is all about Sincerely Kurt Dot lorn ley I HON A Wednesday Octobers Page Towns reaction is nambypamby Dear Sir It was
