after defeating a total of 60 rival bands from Port Credit Brampton and Misslssaugo The three Georgetown bands all made It to the finals at the Brampton based restaurant known for attracting top musical talent Russell Gray Brian Andrew and Dax won as first prize eight free hours of recording time in a Toronto music studio First Class en me in second place while Tempest was third The bands were judged for reaction stage presence show presentation and original material About 100 young peoplt attended the Battle which began at a p Each group played a 45 minute set The group has been together about a year practising about twice per week for hours The members were surprised all three Georgetown groups made the finals Maybe its an indication people should check out the smaller towns
