Franklin Margraves of has been booked to conduct the workshops at the Cedarvalc Com munity Centre is well known as both a juggler and magi Two sessions have been planned one beginning at for children so lor adults Free skating There will be free skating at the three arenas during the March Break If you would like additional information of the skating times please contact the arena nearest you If Program tor your children can be a difficult task It is Important to our Department that your child has an opportunity for an enjoyable and stimulating summer experience All of our programs allow for social interaction a learning en vironment for new games crafts and special events Most Important we share your concern for your child safety We want your summer to be worry free so all of our staff must attend a week of extensive training Most of our staff have already completed our Department Leadership Train tag Program and all have ex in working with children before they re even considered for employment with us week of training consists of lectures and hands on sessions in program planning understanding child behaviour and development problem solving working with pedal needs and leading practical activities of games crafts singsongs and drama All of our summer care staff are required to have an emergency first They are sincere energetic and capable people who look forward to their position as a play leader for your children All of our programs have a minimum of two leaders per site and our maximum ratio of participants to staff does not exceed 1 for Tot Lots or for all other programs Leaders In Training are also present to further reduce these ratios by pro viding assistance Parents arc welcome to stay and observe for their own piece of mind Our Department has to commodate both working and working families with our provisions of extended hours for child care supervised lunch hours day and half day passes family discounts as well as summer long discounts All of our programs are subsidized by your tax dollar so that you can afford to give your child a memorable summer Working parents may claim pro gram fees as a tax deduction for child care expenses Our Department feels that every child should have an opportunity at the benefits of our summer pro grams Financial assistance Is available for those families In need Parents of disabled children can also
