flocks of wild fowl I wondered about those ducks and geese and doubted very much if after a duck hunt they would be fit for human consumption Not until we cot near Barrie did rivers look like fresh flowing streams A dome car provided an ex cellent v ew on the way to Sudbury We arrived in seven hours at 30 p m We were shocked again to see all the stations In such decrepjd state We met many travellers who we became close friends A lady from Hamilton travelling to Ea to visit her daughter ask if we knew the Lumber Company of Georgetown It seems she and Jean MacKenzle were in the Wren s together during the last war and t been in touch with each other since then We were able to deliver a short note to Jean We also met a freelance writer from Winnipeg who was going to visit her
