school board The four schools are estimated to cost million Once the schools are paid for ex cess money will go towards other building construction All municipalities in Halton Region will fed the bite of the tax hike since school board does not have Ihe authority to tax only one or two municipalities The board asked the provincial government for million In capital grants in order to build schools but ended up with empty pockets despite million in allocations granted across the province Although school boards do levy for repayment of debt charges Mr Contracts awarded John McDermld Member of Parliament for Brampton Georgetown announced on behalf of Supply and Services Minister Otto that Aircraft Appliances and Equipment Ltd of Bramalea has been awarded three Govern of Canada contracts Two of the contracts totalling million are to repair and overhaul aircraft accessories and supply parts for this work for National These contracts will maintain Jobs with the company for a year Mr McDermld said The awards continue services that have been performed by the company for many years Aircraft Appliances and Equipment Ltd is the only known Canadian company with the equip ment and personnel required for this work The third contract values and to supply spare parts for use In the repair and overhaul of Na Defence aircraft accessories This contract will maintain four jobs
