Herbert was home with the flu and veteran Kevin Humeniski was playing although he was under the weather as well Kevin showed no ill effects however and was one of the game stars stopping 26 tough Milton shots Georgetown opened the scoring in the first minute of play when Curtis Hoogendam won a and passed back to Steven Smith shot the puck to the blueline where Wesley Blight beat the Milton point man for it Wesley turned on the jets and left the two Milton defencemen behind before scoring on a hard wrist shot low to the stick side Less than a minute later Brown intercepted a pass out and carried the puck from in front of his net to the redline He then fed a beautiful pass through the legs to Blight who was already at top speed and car a hot stick Wesley bulged the twine again and for the first time since these boys got together nearly three years ago they had Milton down 20 For the rest of the first period and part of the second Milton swarmed around our net a good part of the time but Humeniski made excellent use of his new blocker and trapper and continued to bold a hot hand Four minutes into the second period Ryan Bell intercepted a clearing pass at the blueline and fired a quick pass to Allan Rasmussen in the slot Allan relayed the puck to Brad Davidson in front of the net and when the goalie went down Brad went around him to give Georgetown a lead Right around this time two things started to happen Our boys some of whom are just getting over the flu started to tire and Milton started double shifting their stars We escaped the second period up but the third
