the end boards and an opportunistic visitor Fuelers mix their moods By RON KERSLAKE Herald Special Most teams have ups and downs and some teams have and Hyde personalities The Star Fuels Minor Atoms managed a strong effort against league leading on Jan 21 and then on Jan went flat against a Streetsville team they can beat According to spokesman Bill although there wasnt a lot of scoring to report on in the contest that ended the boys covered their defen sive roles very effectively to limit the opposition opportunities The had few chances too but Ryan Taylor made the most of his breakaway to score the lone marker The goal was a frombehinder as the boys didnt let up The next day was all as the team seemed to be loose all the time and the puck didnt even bounce let alone go our way very often Jamie was at his best trying to make things happen On one play he took a pass from Ryan Taylor and moved the puck in close for Pete to bash at it and Andy Kerslake get the goal Later Andy fed Ryan Taylor in the slot for a sure score Not enough as Streetsville ran away to a win popped the puck past Sabre net- minder Jim for the win We took only three penalties in the entire game but one of them had to be in overtime lamented Inscoe Wayne Rivers had two Acton goalsrone of them on an unassisted shorthanded effort while singles went to Kevin Elkins Troy Foster and Todd Shimirak Brett Burrows had two assists with helpers also going to Steve Wagner Rivers and Shimirak Dean Bower started in goal for Acton with Mantione taking over for the remainder of the contest in the second period
