landfill site under a con tingency plan soon to be set down by a new alliance of Greater Toronto Area Regions The Regions of Metro Toronto Halton Peel Durham and York formed an alliance to solve the areas impending garbage crisis last week Metro Toronto is ex pected to run out of place to put its waste by 1992 The idea is to ask for proposals from public and private enter prises to come up with waste disposal schemes for the entire area Halton Chairman Pete In the meantime the new organization will identify con tingency sites to receive waste in a crisis situation The recently approved
