this semester Since Students Against Driving Drunk came into existence in Canada four years ago public awareness on the subject has in creased and fatalities have drop ped significantly began at Georgetown District High School in September 1987 The Optimist Club and the Town Council also been involved in raising public awareness on drinking and deals with students on the important subject and they received a lot of positive in put Mavis Mascola and Sam Assad three teachers at the high school have led to 20 students in various fundraismg events The recent bake sale was very successful and there are plans to have a balloon release from the school T shirts with the Rebel SADD logo on them will also be sold soon Recently the Ministry of At torney General gave the SADD organization of Georgetown a one thousand dollar grant On May 1969 Georgetown high school will host a halfday workshop on the problem of drink ing and driving members from Acton Milton EC Drury and Bishop Reding as well as Georgetown will be involved in talks with the police and other peo ple involved in the prevention of drinking and driving There will be Bake and plant garage sale A huge garage bake and plant sale is set for Saturday May 13 from 9am to at the Church of the Living Word on Highway just west of Erin This will be one of two spring events in the works for Campus Life in Erin Organizers are
