Correspondent The landscaping class met at Birchway Farms for its last meeting Owner Carl Volman and his wife provided a wealth of in formation for the many questions asked of them As Birchway car a wonderful selection of plants shrubbery and landscaping aids it was easy to see what would suit the individual home The course was very interesting In a prior meeting Jim Stansbury a landscaping consul tant was a guest speaker Mr Stansbury instructed the class on how to take a set course of steps when landscaping as well as ad dressing individual problems As part of the course the class will ex what they have learned with a landscaping project of the com centre A large section of the wheelchair ramp will have a combination of hard and soft land scaping techniques Two commit tees have been formed John heads soft landscaping which includes plants shrubs and preparation of the soil Rene Alber is in charge of the hard landscaping which is respon slble for construction of a bench to sit on placing the window well and any other solid long term materials needed The group view ed the properly balanced and pro portioned plan of the project while at Birchway Farms Mr Volman had laid out the
