year she is allowed to go elsewhere In order to achieve this she hires a bunch of unknown rookies and older players well past their prime She hires the coach of the Toledo Mud Hens a man more interested in selling tires than moving to the majors This should do the trick she thinks And it does For a while Eventually the team pulls together and runs to number one filling the stadium with crazed fans much to the owners chagrin For the audience it is a wonderful climb That is essentially the plot There are so many enchanting bits in this movie funny lines and funny moments that its hard the sun on a perfect day It treads some of the territory of Bull Durham but not as much as you would imagine I recommend this as an entertaining joyful feel good movie But its not for kids because of
