Glenda Hughes Sales Rep 8730300 this a wonderful time of year With the onset of this beautifully warm weather the gardens of our town have suddenly bloomed in pro fusion and there is color everywhere As I drive around town I see busy people diligently bending over flowerbeds fertilizing and generally making their properties look beautiful I was amazed to watch on a recent TV show that the nursery business has increased enormously over the past years due to the public s demand for instant gardens No longer are people content to plant their little packets of seeds and wait for the sprouts and the flowers to appear they want flowers NOW So the demand for plan tings is almost insatiable I know that I have always been one of the first to have my hanging baskets up for I just can t wait to get that col or outside my home and rid myself of the winter blahs There is cer tainly no better way to add that splash of color so quickly as in container baskets This year I have to compete with our mud heap outside on the lawn but the flowers are there bravely try to overcome the rest of the mess Certainly if your home is about to go on the market or if is already sporting a For Sale sign you might really consider getting lots of color out there so that you at least have a very welcome yard for peo ple to look at as they walk up to your door It is always first sions that make such a difference to prospective buyers If a home is attractively landscaped with manicured lawns it speaks volumes about what condition that house is in Almost without exception if the outside of a home is neglected the inside will be too Obviously the reverse is true If you are not a gardener and pale at the thought of pulling weeds trimming around garden plots at least get your lawn in shape and then get some nice containers of plants and place them on the corners of your walkways hang baskets by the doorway and then for very lit tie money you have a splash of color and with the exception of water ing and the odd fertilizing you have achieved an instant garden plus a great first impression The are still in fairly good shape for finding some nice baskets but don t wait too much longer for the selection gets slimmer day by day I really believe that you can do a lot with just a little imagination a few dollars and half an hour at one of our local nurseries I think you will amaze yourself at the difference it makes and you can also enjoy the rewards of a nice new look as you come up the driveway each night Flowers say wonderful things to you and to prospective pur chasers See you at the
