going to see some beautiful cars Classics Against Cancer will be held at Cedarvale Park and will be showing various antique and exotic automobiles Classics Against Cancer is separate from Pioneer Days but the cause is excellent all money raised will go towards the Cancer Society There is an admission charge of for adults for peo ple under 16 and kids who are eight years or younger are free Anyone 14 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult The cars assembled for the day are from the owners who wish to show their car to the public for a good cause To enter a car into the show there is a charge all of which goes towards the Cancer Society and each owner gets a breakfast During the show which will be held between 11 a m and m on Fathers Day there will be a Peo ple s Choice Award A donation box is placed beside each of the cars and the people vote by putting money in the boxes explained Neil Young who has been busy ing the show since November of The car which collects the most money during the day wins a trophy One of the biggest attractions of last year s show will be back this year A 1929 Duesenberg Model J owned by Terry Raddy of Toronto has been very popular Mr recently entered his car into the Pebble Beach Concours dElegance in California and won best of show Even back in the year that it was sold it cost the same as buying three Rolls 18 Last year Classics Against Cancer raised and this year organizers are hoping to double it Mr Young said He said that it is a lot of work to get it all organiz ed but- definitely worth the ble Other than beautiful cars there will also be three live bands giving their time free of charge for the Cancer Society Men without Hairs with Edgar Thatcher Sudden Impact with John McDonald and the Credit Valley Jazz Gats Jazz music will be entertaining the crowd during the day Other attractions Include the Chamber of Commerces Biggest Ice Cream Buffet in the World which last made an appearance at last years BIG celebration The
