Metro Toronto Hockey League and bypass the Ontario Hockey League in dealings with the Cana Amateur Hockey Association could produce repercussions felt in Georgetown The OMHA and the form ed the Central Canadian Hockey Association as a direct result of an OHA decision to restructure minor hockey under a zone system The feehng persists among a number of hockey people that the OHA decision was made mainly for financial reasons However that doesn t alter the fact that the ongo ing feud between the and the renegade association could ultimately harm those whose best interests the rival groups sup posedly represent namely the phyers As things stand now the Amateur Hockey Association works through the OHA in pro viding sanctions for hockey activi ty in this part of Southern Ontario If the OHA and the Central Cana dian Hockey Association cant come to some kind of a workable agreement and the CAHA con tinues to recognize the OHAs presently dominant status then a lot of young hockey
