roads and pollution from the plant A petition dated Aug contains names of area residents opposed to the asphalt plant The petition said that the propos ed area is primarily a residential area and should not be sub jected to this kind of facility Other plants of this type have proved to create noise and air pollution the petition said Mr Keith said Biuecliff has agreed to build to reduce noise from the plant But Mr said there would not be much noise A normal converse can be carried on near the site he said But some councillors said they want an actual decibel count of the noise because the present evaluation is too subjective Rural Alf Spence said there would be a backlog of traffic when the asphalt plant opened for business at 7 a m I would have a lot more sym pathy with your operation if I envision a line up on Steeles Avenue he said Mr Alfano said there would be no traffic waiting to get on the site A house located on the Whaley Corners site would be used as a business office for the plant and would house three employees Mr said although the house is not in good repair now it will be repaired for office use The tenants are there on a month to month Basis It s understood when
