in Brookville Hall A report from the fall board meeting brought members up to date on events Each lady had researched Nova Scotia and these presentations brought joyable afternoon to a close The Wl euchre was attended by 28 people Winners playing white cards were Mae Tost Jean Str inger and lone hands Jean Ander son Playing yellow cards the win ners were Charlotte Eva Wilson and lone hands Svbil reality when her day care centre was ap proved for Main Street Georgetown last year And like the preschoolers who spend their days in the daycare centre at Moore Park the dream grew bigger Mrs Moore Place Nursery will expand to house lit tle people including pre schoolers and five toddlers The daycare matron and her followers cried and clapped last year when they received the go- ahead from local centre will be held Oct 23 to 27 Mrs Quaglia says she welcomes people who are interested in atten ding Moore Place has four adults on staff including two Early Childhood Education graduates a fulltime and a assis tant Moore Place Day Nursery offers fulltime or parttime care for children from months to five years of age Programs at the centre are based on theories of development for the child Mrs Quaglia says there are concrete experiences to make the child solve problems in ac cordance with his or her own maturity at even- given stage Children are taught logical skills and mathematical concepts in a way suited to their level of learn ing she said Exchange students wanted The Canada World Youth pro gram has started Its recruitment campaign for the 199091 session The organization is looking for Canadian citizens or landed im migrants who are between the ages of 17 and 20 at the end of this year The Canada World Youth pro gram is an international ex change program between Canada and a developing nation in Asia Africa or Latin America Participants will live and do volunteer work in Canada then do work in a host country The pro gram lasts seven months Over the last 19 years
