Mr Williams said the board hired experienced teachers inexperienced teachers and four that were borrowed from other schools The board chairman added pro gram enrolments are currently stable and are projected to remain stable Mr Taylor said after the meeting the director failed to seize the opportunity to invite parents to participate in reassessing this policy He said Mr Williams failed to back up his claim that a childs education depends first and foremost with the parents Trustee Howtt said he supports French immersion programs at the elementary and secondary level but is unsure there are enough qualified teachers especially at the secondary level to offer a quality program Staffing problems at the secon dary level in the past have shown that the program isnt always up to par he said
