the Christmas dance December Previous years had low attendance due to competition from company Christmas parties Planned still is the New Years Eve dance if enough volunteers come forward to lend a hand If enough people would volunteer then it would only mean about half hour shifts for lit tie jobs such as taking tickets at the door selling beer and liquor tickets putting the food out later the evening making coffee and a light general clean up at the end of the night Your help would make the dif ference of either having the dance or not Please contact Jean at 877 2091 if you can spare a little time Another item discussed at this meeting was that Wellington County has given verbal consent to put up the road way sign directing the way to the Community Centre which was very kindly made by Gerry Andrews Formal permis sion will come in the form of a let With Christmas drawing nearer there is nothing better than a craft sale to pick up something very dif for that someone special No gift is better appreciated than one that is hand made Come to the Community Centre on Saturday Nov from 12 noon to m and see the fine hand crafts of local t A bake table will be set up to earn money feeding the large number of people who at tended their Annual Turkey Sup per Pedple filled the Ballinafad United Church on Saturday Nov tor a choice of three sittings Not a soul went away hungry with the usual ample portions The ladies are to be commended for all their hard work in preparing such a wonderful meal for such a large number Tickets for the and 60s dance on Saturday Nov are now
