road this past weekend As road shows go the Sabres outings proved to be huge suc cesses as Acton posted wins over Alliston and Bradford raised their 198990 regular season record to a respectable and put themselves in position to challenge the league leaders Friday night the Sabres topped then Sunday after noon the Acton crew bumpedoff Bradford 2 to remain on the winn ing track The Sabres currently boast a threegame winning streak as the weekend victories come on the heels of a thumping of Caledon Flyers Nov at Acton Communi ty Centre Sabres coach Ken prefers the lowkey approach the game Rather than blowing hot then run ning cold he put the recent Sabre triumphs in their proper perspec tives Im pleased with the way the TA1T REALTY team is coming around said Steen Both wins were the result of total team effort especially in penalty killing and we showed we can control games if the players work as a team rather than in dividuals The 96 win over Friday night was nipandtuck throughout Sabres led 32 after the first period and after minutes of play Bob led the Acton scor ing parade with a pair of goals while single Acton markers went to Mark Boersma Jason Lucas Craig be the allstar lineup as will steady Craig Cullen Cullen is nursing a sore shoulder as the result of encounters in this past weekends pair of Sabre wins over Alliston and over Brad ford and should he
