THE HERALD Wednesday December Page IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL HALTON HILLS WATER AND SANITARY SEWER CUSTOMERS REGARDING THE CLOSURE OF THE HALTON HILLS WATER OFFICE 9 JAMES STREET GEORGETOWN ONT L7G 2H2 EFFECTIVE 430 PM Fri December 15 1989 Halton Region is about to complete the amalgamation of the reading billing and collection functions for water and sanitary sewer services with those of the Halton Hills Hydro Electric Commission HHHEC This change has been undertaken in order to improve the level of efficiency and service for Haltons utility customers The result of this effort will be the preparation of a consolidated energy water and sanitary sewer bill This bill will be paid directly to the HHHEC in its capacity as the Regions utility billing agent in the Halton Hills area Water and sewer customers not billed directly for hydro electric power will receive a bill from the HHHEC exclusively for water and sanitary sewer charges once the amended system is complete Payment of Water and Sanitary Sewer bills issued by the Regional Municipality of Halton which remain outstanding after Friday December 1989 must be made payable to HHHEC and remitted directly to their offices at Alice Street Acton On tario L7J2A9 Phone 8533700 Payment instructions for future billing will be outlined in the first amalgamated energy watersanitary sewer bill The operation of the water and sewer systems remains the responsibility of the Regional Municipality of Halton HALTON REGION FINANCE DEPARTMENT 8788113 Ext 395 r
