following House Leagues for boys and girls House League select for boys and girls Competitive for girls under 18 years and Mens Senior Other competitive teams if coaches are available HOUSE LEAGUE Areas we need improving most is in the girls Last year was a little better than the previous but we still got complaints Now is the time to organize and try to improve it some more not wait until May Help us and come forward with ideas and suggestions We want all the players to enjoy themselves equally we need help from everyone The boys were not too bad A minor problem here and there that can be easily dealt with still any input is welcome SELECTS This year one select team from each league no matter if it is mixed age groups or not will be available ONLY if coaches are available prior to start of the season Funds will not be available if this com mitment is not made COMPETITIVE OR REP So far we have only girls under and mens senior Both play in the PeelHalton League We would like to expand this program but this level of soccer needs qualified coaches and without them we cannot do this We really need a strong rep system so if you are qualified and like competition give us a call now Both learns are looking for players girls under 18 and boys over IB and up Overall things are already rolling for 1990 so watch for these dates Feb 26- Budget Meeting Alcott pm Registration March played over the weekend Raiders dropped a 52 decision to Burlington Cougars in a game played Friday night in Burlington then suffered a 105 setback at the hands of Milton Merchants Satur day in a game played at Gor don Alcott Memorial Arena The losses dropped the Raiders season record to and mired the team even deeper in the cellar of the leagues West Division Raiders now trail sixth place Brampton Capitals by seven points and are in danger of sinking out of sight Raiders were looking forward to league play following the teams unsuccessful bul educational sojourn at the 12th An nual Pepsi Junior Classic hockey tournament Prior to the tournament the Raiders had broken out of a month- long slump and posted wins over Brampton Capitals and Burlington Cougars Raider coach Peter Sturgeon was hoping that the twin wins combined with the Pepsi tourna ment experience would stand his club in good stead heading back in to league play Unfortunately such was not the case as untimely lapses again pro ved
