Halton Radio Club plans fall course On October 1 1990 the Department of Communications is planning to change the Amateur Radio regulations The new regulations will in elude an entry level designation that does not require testing in morse code The Halton Amateur Radio Club HARC is planning to run a course this fall and would like to hear from any interested persons The course will entail components of electrical and radio theory as well as radio law and regul lions You do not have to be a li take this course grade school children housewives almost anyone can pass the exam The instructors which are members of our club will pace the speed to the level of the students meets at the Scotsdale meeting hall in Ballmafad on the third Wednesday of each month and meets on the clubs repeater 130 MHz on the first Wednesday f the month The meetings start at and all are welcome to attend HARC performs community service throughout the year and assists the red cross with observers study Georgetown artist James Tughan s work they will discover something new Using layers of visual cues Mr Tughan proves to thoughts of home security and comfort this message will be hanging on the walls of about 50 offices and public centres in the form of posters and signed limited edition prints The corporate artist worked with the Ontario Real Estate tion to promote home ownership and create a better image for real estate The posters and limited prints will be displayed across On to celebrate Ontario Home Week from Sept to 29 Town of Halton Hills Mayor Milter received a signed print Thursday for display at the civic centre Mr Tughan was commissioned by the Ontario Real Estate Association to create a vision depicting the importance and meaning of owning home harmony between life in a home and the en vironment His intention was to highlight the comforts and securities experienced in owning a home using the most primitive and basic colors and features It was intended to involve peo ple in reading the poster almost like a map Mr Tughan said A canine resting on the quilt by three persons sleeping under the quilt conjures up images of tran and security
