their 50th wedding an- Twenty couples en joyed dinner at the Town and Country Following dinner President Fred Paul chaired a presentation and called on Mary Crawford to make the presentation of a gold plated carousel along with a framed collage for pictures of their 50th anniversary Following a morning church service members sang Happy Anniversary to Marg and Fred and everyone enjoyed cake and ice cream Get well wishes are now with Marg who underwent surgery Oct at Peel Memorial Hospital Brampton Lovingly remembered Mrs Emily passed away on Sept at the Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital in her year Emily Gilbert was born Cornwall England in 1902 and William in They emigrated to Canada in 1930 and lived in the area all their life and area people knew the Fin for their great vegetable and flower garden at the foot of the cemetery hill Mrs had been in ill health for the last couple of years and had been lovingly cared for by her daughter Mar jone Dear mother of Marjone Har and Tom you will be treated to get a chance to win spot and door prizes and can tap your feet to the tunes put on by J George This dance is always so much fun because of the excep tional costumes people wear Prizes are given out for people who dress up The other dance will be a Business People s dance on November starting at p m at a cost of per per son Marion s Country Band has been secured to supply the music This band is quite popular and having them perform right in the village is really a treat Tickets are available for both dances at the General Store Get them early so you won t be disap pointed Last week s meeting was held at the home of Mrs Joyce Clarke A number of regular business was attended to including post discussion on the very successful bazaar held on October 13th The highlight of the evening was when members viewed Mrs Clarke video on News her trip to the British Isles It was really lovely This week is another week of meetings as the Hall Board hold their October meeting on
