Father Sergio the grooms cousin performed the ceremony Haydn Evans was the organist The bride given in marriage by her father was lovely in a Vic torian style white lace gown with floorlength train carried a bouquet of roses Maid of honor was Andrea Stir- son a friend of the bride Liza Epitropou sister of the groom was bridesmaid Heather and Kerton friends of the bride were flower girls The brides attendants wore Victorian style lace and satin gowns in dusty rose The flower girls wore Victorian style gowns in offwhite lace and satin with wreath headpieces The best man was the grooms brother John and the usher John was a friend Each wore black tuxedos Special guests at the wedding were the brides Grandma Vera Roberts of Georgetown and Grampa and Grandma George and Ruth of Very special guest from Greece was the grooms aunt Kiovlasa A reception was held at the La Dome in Oakville for 175 guests The brides mother received for her daughter wearing a gown of black velvet with red roses Assisting was the grooms mother who wore a silk crepe gown trimmed with black sequins Both fathers of the bridal cou ple wore black tuxedos with tails Following the reception the couple left get a storefront Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome AIDS Information and Counselling Cen tre- Regional Council approved Wednesday that Haltons Health Department enter into negotia tions with the group Hamilton AIDS Network for Dialogue and Support HANDS to establish the storefront operation in Burl ington Although located in Halton south it will service residents throughout the Region said Commissioner and Medical Officer of Health Dr Robert following the coun cil meeting Council made its decision after Dr told councillors the number of individuals with Human Virus HIV including AIDS continues to rise in Halton There was a 27 percent increase in reported HIV cases over the past year said Dr Males between the ages of 30 and 50 comprise the majority of HIV carriers said Dr but percent of the cases in volve individuals under the age of 25 he said The storefront location will allow young people or other in terested adults to informally ob tain education materials or discuss Thats why he recom mended council support establishing the storefront opera tion as a pilot project It will be open three afternoons a week and staffed by the HANDS group and members of the Regional
